To change your life, start by changing your mind. "Mindfulness is – noticing your experience, noticing the consequence of actions and awareness of intentions".
I have 20 years counselling and psychotherapy experience in:
-
General
-
Relationship
-
Family and Parenting
-
Children and Young Adults
-
Trauma and Motivational Counselling
My wish is that my clients attain their goal in the shortest time practical, so that I become unnecessary in their life; because they will have gained, or regained, direction, motivation, and self-belief with which to manage their own life.
In my counselling practice I aim to tailor the sessions to fit the individual client. That is, different counselling theories and practices fit better with different people. There is no one size fits all in counselling. I do believe everyone is unique so it makes sense that their needs require a unique approach.
With that in mind, I incorporate several theories including, narrative, experiential, gestalt, client centered, cognitive, behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy and family systems therapy, in an eclectic blend for the best possible outcomes for the client.
One in five Australians will have a mental, emotional illness or an event in their life.
